Scotland is a great place to visit for people of all ages and tastes - there is something for everyone to be found in this historic country. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, the Whistlefield Inn is one of the finest Scotland bed and breakfasts around.

The Whistlefield Inn is a traditional Drover's Inn situated on an old cattle droving trail leading from the West Highlands to the markets of Central Scotland.

The oldest part dates from 1455, but the main section of the building was completed in 1663.
Today, the appearance and character of the Whistlefield are protected by Historic Scotland, which has designated the building as 'B'-listed.

The Whistlefield Inn is located in Scotland's National Park and is ideally placed as a base for a host of outdoor activities. Hill walking, freshwater salmon and trout fishing (we have riparian rights for Loch Eck), boating, bird watching and cycling are all possible just a stone's throw from this Scotland B&B. Within 15 minutes drive you will find golf, sea angling, sailing and rock climbing among others.

The Cowal and Argyll areas are world-famous areas of natural beauty and fascinating history. All of this is accessible using The Whistlefield as your touring base. Some of the most popular day excursions are to Inveraray, Oban, Loch Lomond and Mull of Kintyre.

A small, friendly and fully licensed B&B, the Whistlefield Inn offers home comforts in relaxing surroundings (with no TV's to disturb your peace!). Our main accommodation consists of 2 twin and 6 double rooms.

We also have a 20-bed bunkhouse next to the Inn that provides accommodation for large parties of fishermen or walkers etc. What sets the Whistlefield Inn apart from many Scotland bed and breakfast accommodations are the range of entertainment and leisure options available to our guests. We have a popular, friendly bar and family rooms where food is served. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting with log fires, and a large selection of Malt Whisky and Real Ales. We also have monthly folk nights on the first Friday on each month.

You can also take a look at the wall display of the Whistlefield's history in the entrance hall. Our restaurant has panoramic sunset views over Loch Eck and has proved to be a huge favorite with our diners. Not many Scotland bed & breakfasts can boast such a blend of excellent facilities and scenery that the Whistlefield Inn offers.
