Situated on the west side of the island, in the township of Carloway is The Doune Braes Hotel which in addition to offering a warm welcome, great food and comfortable accommodation, provides the perfect base from which to explore Lewis and Harris and experience the incredible and timeless culture of the Hebrides.

15 guest bedrooms are available within the hotel, all en suite and with television and tea and coffee making facilities.

Comprising the exclusive Broch Suite, two family rooms, three doubles, five twins, five singles and two rooms on the ground floor there is plenty of scope for providing a wide range of accommodation options for individuals, couples, families and groups to spend some in Lewis.

Most of the rooms have views over the lochan, adjacent to the hotel, and the stunning natural surrounds. Tariff starts from £50 per night for a rear-facing single up to £120 per night for the Broch Suite or a family room. Winter deals are available with three nights offered for the price of two.

Guests are welcome to dine within the hotel, where delicious meals are created using fresh, locally sourced produce wherever possible. Food is served all day at the hotel, from noon till 8.30pm, and till 7.30pm on a Sunday.

A packed picnic lunch can also be supplied to take with you on your travels. Food is also served within the hotel lounge bar where you can also relax with a drink in pleasant surrounds. For a livelier local pub experience with a pool table and TV sports, there is also a public bar.
