The magnificent location of the Forth View Hotel in the lovely village of Aberdour on the shores of the Forth makes the hotel the ideal location for bird and wildlife watching, as well as many outdoor sports such as golf and fishing.

Only forty-five minutes from St Andrews, known as the home of golf, the hotel is spoilt for choice of fabulous golf courses in the area. Edinburgh is just a twenty-five minute bus journey or train ride away from the award winning railway station at Aberdour, and the hotel operates a pick up service from the station.

The hotel not only provides a fabulous location, excellent service, and a delightfully warm & convivial atmosphere, but also a resident chef, and lots to do in the area. Built in 1880, the hotel has a selection of sea view and en-suite rooms; with Wi-Fi access, and complimentary selection of hot beverages.

Choose from: a superior room, which has views of the sea and an en-suite; or a deluxe room, which is large and has views of the sea and an en-suite or a basic standard room with access to a shared bathroom.

The in house seafood restaurant; 'Room with a View' comes highly recommended, and serves both lunch and dinner: Wednesday to Sunday for lunches from 12 noon till 2.30, and Wednesday to Saturday for dinner from 6pm onwards and stocks a good selection of beers, quality wines and spirits.

Try the cullen skink, followed by pan fried fillet of halibut with a carrot and cardamon jus, and round off your meal with a delicious homemade bread and butter pudding with vanilla ice cream.
